Mama Bear and Papa Bear

Last weekend Tyson and I got to play house! For a brief and quick 3 days we got to pretend we were parents of 5 amazingly cute kids. Their parents went on a cruise for a week so we got to watch them for the  last few days before they came home. At first Tyson was a little reluctant to watch them, however that quickly changed within hours of being at their house. The two youngest little girls were immediately attached to Tyson. They would hardly even talk to me, but once Tyson walked in from work they would be trailing his heels the rest of the night telling him EVERY detail about their day and all of the fun stuff we did. Tys and I decided that when we have kids of our own one day, we hope they're half as great as these kids are. :)

The first night we took them to feed our pigs with us. Which at first I thought for sure they would think, "Ew, gross!"especially the girls, but boy was I wrong. Not only did they love the pigs and horse, but they were chasing a mouse around! Those brave, adventurous souls.

They all took turns helping Tys feed the pigs...

and even the horse.

This was a typical shot of these three. Papa bear and his baby cubs tagging along :)

On Friday we met up with my mom, Liam, Whit and Berkely at the Hurricane splash pad. The younger girls had been begging to go all week so I decided I could definitely use a tan!

After starving out in the sun we went to my moms for a little BBQ while the kids played out back and became adoptive parents to a baby bird they found struggling to fly.

They made a cute little nest and even tried to feed it. It was so cute to watch how concerned they all were for it.  Tyson attempted (several times) to put the bird back in its nest, however it kept jumping out of his hand. Eventually he got it back with its family, making him their hero for saving the bird. Even Berkley gave him a nice smile, which is big for her because she's not too fond of Tyson if he gets too close. haha

Saturday morning we were up bright and early to go play in Skyler and Melissa's irrigation water. The kids had so much fun puling each other around and Sky even joined in on the fun!

Liam tried SUPER hard to pull his daddy....i told him,
maybe daddy needs to loose some weight ;)

My 3 little trouble makers and best of friends :)

As if we didn't get enough sun already, we decided to go swimming at the kids gma's pool

To finish off the day Tys completely won over the girls with his homemade cookies. Yum!

His two sidekicks were such good little helpers

they had to stay hydrated just to keep up though ;)

Before their parents came home the kids decided to make a cute "Welcome Home" sign and color some pictures. I think they all turned out great!

By the time Sunday morning rolled around for us to say our goodbyes and head to church, Tys and I were laying in bed, he leaned over and said, "I'm not ready to say goodbye"  :(

It was definitely hard to say goodbye, but it was a great weekend and maybe if we're lucky we'll get to watch them again really soon. :)

Its about time...

When Tyson and I started dating we used to go on lots of Road trips. We loved them so much that we would find the smallest reason to go on one. We always had so much fun, and we would grow so close, thanks to the 3-4 hour drive up and back which gave us plenty of time to talk and get to know more about each other. I looked forward to those drives almost more than the actual reason for the trip.
Well once we got married and started more full-time (grown up jobs), we had to limit our road trips, and eventually we were hardly going at all. :( So when one of my really good friends/old roommates Kaylyn announced she was getting married in May up at the Bountiful Temple how could we refuse the trip up?! :)
Shauni (my twin for those of you that don't already know), her husband Ethan, Tyson and I all hopped in the car and headed up.
Isn't she just gorgeous?!

Our first night we stayed at Tyson's Uncle Ron and Aunt Sheri's house in Spanish fork. The following morning we were up early and out the door for our drive to the Bountiful Temple for the sealing. It was nice to go and see Kaylyn marry her dream man. They were so cute to watch and it got me reminiscing about my own wedding day and the feelings of love and happiness from all of my family and friends that came to support us. I  remembered how it felt to look across the alter into the eyes of my other half and to hear the words that we would not only be together for this life but for ETERNITY! Words cannot describe how grateful I am for the knowledge that we can and will be with our loved ones forever, if we live righteously. Listening Kaylyn and Garland making these special covenants and promises to each other and to our Heavenly father made me so excited for them and for the journey they were starting together. I am so proud of them for making themselves worthy to enter the temple and being able to receive these amazing blessings.

While we were at the temple we noticed this Dr. Who box across the street and just had to get our photo by it :)

After the sealing we went shopping to waste some time until the reception that night in Garland City. The decorations were just perfect. I loved every bit of it and wish I would have taken some pictures. We even got to see Marsha! She is Kaylyns younger sister who was also a friend/roommate of ours for awhile. It was so nice to catch up with both girls.

Once the reception was over we decided to make a quick pit stop in Tremonton to visit Aunt Mickie and her kids. It was good to catch up and visit even if it was only for about 15 minutes. After Mickie's we went to one of my (newest) favorite restaurants called Maddox. It has the BEST steak I've ever tasted! Mind you I've only tried steak at a few different places, but it definitely beat the rest. Don't worry, I helped Tyson finish that steak....Mmmmmm.. :)

As if our day wasn't adventurous enough, we decided to met up with our long lost best friend, Lisha, and her husband Adam (who I just met for the first time) for a bonfire in Logan Canyon. It is so pretty up there which really made me kind of regret not moving up there. We also got to met up at the bonfire with an old college friend Chris and his new girlfriend. They are so cute together.

Saturday Tys and I went out to breakfast with an old mission buddy of his, Blake Shupe. He took us to eat at Angie's. It is apparently a must when in Logan. It was nice to meet someone from Tysons mission and the food was great. Since we were hitting all the top spots in Logan, such as Angie's and ice cream at the Aggies shop, we decided to make a quick stop at the beautiful Logan Temple before we left. '

Once we finished breakfast we headed down to do some more shopping in sandy and finally ended up at the movies. Tys and Eth went to their man show while Shaun and I went to a chick flick. I can't tell you how nice it is to have your best friend as your twin. Anytime I need some girls time she's ALWAYS there for me. As soon as our movies got out we all met up and hustled across the street to the RSL game to finish off the night right. Since we won the game (of course) some of the players went around to say hi to the fans. So Tyson and I got our picture taken with Nat Borchers! NBD. I'm sure he could see how star struck we were, but we didn't care...it was NAT BORCHERS ;) To be honest though, Tyson could probably care less! ha

All in all it was a great road trip, and have no doubt I'm already planning our next one to be BIGGER and BETTER....if that's possible!
